Plastic compositions containing dextrine.-A mixture of elastic West Indian or other bitumen, dextrine, and powdered glass, preferably in the proportions 3, 1, and 2 is used as a cement or backing for securing tiles to walls, ceiling, &c. The backing may serve for cementing pottery chip or the like to the back of the tile, which may then be fixed by means of sand and cement in the ordinary way.
