To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, PASQUALE ZArrI, a subject of the King of Italy, and resident of Youngstown, county of Mahoning, and have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Fireproof ompositions, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates broadly to a fireproof composition, and more'particularly to a fireproof insulation material.
The primary object ofthe invention is to provide an 'incombustible composition capable of being molded to form slabs, bricks or blocks for use in building construction, and which is adapted to be used in slab form as a substitute for lath and plaster, as a protecfes and vaults, and as an insulation covering or lagging for boilers, steam pipes an the like. 7

Gypsum 44 per cent Sawdust Asbestos fiber 20 Kaolin 5 Boric acid 1 Slight variations in the proportions may be resorted to without changing the genera character of or materially afiecting the efiiciency of the composition.
To the above materials, dry mi'xed', sufficient water is added to reduce the whole to a plastic mass of the proper consistency for turning into molds or for applying 1nthe desired manner. As is obvious, the material may be handled commercially in its'dry state and then reduced to a plastic form only when ready to use.
What is claimed is- V 1. A plastic composition comprising thirty parts of a vegetable fibrous material, forty-four parts gypsum, twenty parts as bestos fiber, five parts kaolin and one part boric acid.
2. A non-conductive plastic composition of the following ingredients mixed in about the proportions name Gypsum 44 per cent.
