Hinged-sliding windows.-The sash cords f of a hinged-sliding window are retained, when the sash is turned into the room, by a member c pivotally mounted on a plate a on the pulleystile and adapted to be turned into the position shown in Fig. 2 to fasten the hinged stop-bead j, when the sash is in the sliding position. In the modification shown in Fig. 6, the member a, which is bent to form a cord-retaining part e, is pivotally mounted at d and slotted at k to engage the screw l. The usual interlocking plates h, i are carried by the cord f and sash g respectively.
