Sliding - clasp fastenings.-In a fastening for wearing-apparel, tents, &c., of the kind in which two staggered rows of members are attached to the edges to be joined and are adapted to be drawn into engagement by means of a slide, t h e fastening- members c are spaced apart at distances substantially equal to the width of eacb member. The parts c are grooved so that they may be clinched over cords b secured to the edges of the fabric &c. a. Each part c, except the uppermost one, has a recess e at its upper side and a rounded pin f projecting from its lower side. A locking pin h, which may be spring-controlled, may be provided in the uppermost member c<1>, to prevent accidental unfastening. The two jaws of the slide g may be pivoted together, or otherwise movably connected.
