Cements, Portland, processes for making.-In the manufacture of cement in rotary kilns, the materials are ground in a wet state, and are then freed from water by mechanical means, such as presses or centrifugal apparatus. The resulting product, containing about 15 per cent of water, is fed into the kilns in the form of a loose powder.
