13,730. Barker, G., [Bissell Carpet Sweeper Co.]. June 12. Carpet-sweepers.-The brush of the sweeper is supported adjustably by levers 6 pivoted to the end guards of the casing and connected at their outer ends to adjusting-levers 9. To adjust the brush, the levers 9 are rotated in a vertical plane, causing pins 10 fixed thereto to traverse eccentric recesses in the bail guards. The levers may be fixed in various positions by engaging the pins with any one of a series of holes or recesses 14 within the main recess. Guards 12 maintain the levers 9 in proximity to the bail guards.
