13,166. Lance, O. L. June 4. Mechanically operated from vehicle; locking- bolts and the like.-A bar 14 is connected at its ends to trip-blocks 23 and at an intermediate point to the stretcher-bar 9. The blocks 23 are engaged by a roller carried by the locomotive and depressed by fluid pressure. The bar 14, which moves upwardly and longitudinally to actuate the points, has lugs &c. 17 which engage shoulders 18 on the rod 9 to lock the points. The points are preferably those rotated about a longitudinal axis. The rod 9 has a spring which tends to keep the main track open.
