Abstract

15,538. Brown, E. D., Thierwechter, W. L., Hahn, G. D., and Foot, C. H. July 4. Stub-switch type.-At the switch the main rail 10 is formed with a longitudinally tapering recess 16, 16<a> and the sleepers are formed with concaved bearing-seats 17 in which the cylindrical stub switch 18 is carried and adapted to rotate so as to bring the corresponding switch members 23 and 21 into engagement with the main rail. The switch is operated through the rod 27 and arm 25, and is provided with a stop engaging in a groove in one of the supporting- sleepers to limit its movement.
