Abstract

Transferring by hauling and paying-out between clevated supports. -Loads are transferred suspended from a hoisting-rope 15, passing over a pulley 14 mounted in a frame 13. The frame is suspended from a fixed point by a swing- ing rope 12, and the load is transferred from side to side by the hoisting-rope 15 or a rope 20 attached to the frame 13. The device is shown for transporting between two derricks on a ship. In another arrangement, an elevated point of attachment for the swinging rope is provided on a quay, and the swinger ropes are passed round leading-blocks on the quay and on a derrick on a ship.
