Moving-chamber apparatus for granular materials. - In apparatus for delivering measured quantities of powdered, granular, or like materials, an oscillating measuring-chamber or cylinder is provided with a single acting piston which draws the material into said cylinder and expels it therefrom into a discharge shoot after the cylinder has been partly rotated. The material is stored in a hopper d and is loosened by an agitator o and conveyed, by a spiral conveyer e to the measuring- cylinder a, which is provided with a conical piston, having a sharp edge to prevent sticking or jamming, and adapted to be drawn downwards by means of a roller l on the piston-rod i engaging an adjustable pulling-device m operated from the main shaft. Oscillation of the cylinder is then effected by means of sectors which are rocked by means of a crank arm and link r engaging a cam adapted to be rotated by gearing from a driving-pulley q. The cylinder is rotated until it comes opposite a shoot h, in which position the roller l is acted upon by a discharge device n whereby the material is ejected in a positive manner; the cylinder is then returned to the filling position.
