[Cognate Application, 26,327/12.] Sewing-machines; finger-guards. - A fingerguard is formed of two U-shaped wires 6, 7 secured to a small bracket 2 detachably secured to the presser-foot by the screw 5. The loop 6 is parallel with the line of feed, and the loop 7 as a whole is bent so as to have a U-shape in plan view also. The loops 6, 7 may be made of one piece of wire threaded through holes in the bracket. Provisional Specification 11,993/12 includes also a description of finger - guards which may be used on sewing - machines or punching or like machines constructed on the sewing-machine principle. Such guards may be formed on the presser-bar by vertical projections which may be solid or of skeleton form or may consist of one or more U-shaped loops attached to a bracket secured on the presserbar. Specifications 3506/83, 1396/04, 17,094/05, and 21,842/11 are referred to.
