Sawing-machine fences. - An adjustable fence for circular saws and other wood-working machines consists of a plate A, which has a right-angled flange or projection a to support the work and is connected by a rod G to a nut F, which is displaced vertically by a screw E on the ordinary fence C, or a plate D secured to the fence, so as to tilt the plate A to the desired angle. The plate A is formed with bearer-pieces H, H<1> fitted with projecting pieces or bolts h, h<1> passing through slotted brackets K, K<1> on the fence C or the plate D. One of the bolts h, h' may be provided with a nut k to allow the plate A to be secured when set at the required inclination. In a modification, the connecting-rod G is dispensed with, the fence A being pivoted to the nut F.
