Abstract

8520. Bonin, A. L. April 29, 1911, [Convention date]. Fixing by screwed sockets.-Relates to toothbrushes of the kind wherein the head and handle are detachably connected together in a water-tight manner by means of a screw disposed in a recess in the handle end and a nut in the projecting end of the head, the latter being secured in the recess by the engagement of the screw with the nut. The head 8, preferably of celluloid, has the nut 4 embedded therein in line with the opening 5, and is formed at the end with an annular shouldered projection 8 adapted to fit the handle socket 7 from which the fixing-screw 6 projects. When the two parts are screwed together, their outer surfaces at the place of connexion are flush with each other. The shouldered projection 8 and corresponding recess 7 may be tapered'to form a tighter joint.
