Abstract
6379. Bloxam, A. G., [Chemische Fabrik Griesheim Elektron]. March 14. Monoazo dyes are obtained by combining diazo compounds of the benzene or naphthalene series with arylamides of 2:3-oxynaphthoic acid. Products are specified from the following components:-aniline, m-xylidine, o-, m-, and pchloraniline, 2:4-, 2:5-, and 3:4-dicloraniline, p-chlor-o-toluidine, o- and m-nitraniline, p-nitrou-toluidine. m-nitro-p-toluidine, 5-nitro-2-anisidine, p-chlor-o-nitraniline, o-chlor-p-nitraniline, 2: 4-dinitraniline, sulphanilic acid, 2: 5-dichloraniline sulphonic acid, p-toluidine-m-sulphonic acid, 2-naphtlylamine-1-sulphonic acid; anilide; p-toluidide, o-, m-, and p-chloranilide, 2:5- dichloranilide, p-anisidide, m- and p-nitranilide, #-naphthalide, and ethylanilide of 2:3-oxynaphthoic acid. Lakes of orange to bordeaux shades are obtained by the usual methods from the abovedescribed dyes; the manufacture of dyes and lakes may be carried out in one operation. Arylamides of 2:3-oxynaphthoic acid, for example those specified above, are obtained by the same process as the known anilide.
