Abstract

3793. Benton, A. W. Feb. 15. Autographic cash recorders. - Relates to apparatus of the kind comprising a check or duplicate strip mounted on reels, and in which means are provided to lock an original sheet in writing position and advance the duplicate strip. The strip 4, Fig. 2, is mounted on reels 2 iu a casing 1 having a slot 3 through which a part of the strip is exposed. The slot is covered by a movable cover 9, the movement of which advances the strip, and locks the receipt card, which is inserted through a slot in the side of the casing, by means of a frame 11. The frame is depressed by means of inclines 10 on the cover. The reels are provided with a casing comprising two semi-cylinders 17 one of which is attached to a disk 18, Fig. 5, rotatably mounted on the spindle 14. The other is passed through a slot in a second disk 18<a> and engages a groove in the disk 18; it is held in position by means of a disk 19<a> having projections 20 which engage bayonet or like slots 21 in the disk 18<a>. A locking-device may be provided for holding the parts of the reels together and is controlled by the lock on the casing.
