Abstract

1942. Goss Printing Press Co., [Goss Printing Press Co.]. Jan. 24. Inking-apparatus.-A slotted bearing 14, more particularly intended for an inking - roller shaft 7, has a lever 17 which is provided with an arm 19 extending over the shaft 7 and locking it in position, and preferably also with an arm 18 extending below the shaft 7 to lift it slightly when the shaft is released by tilting the lever 17, as shown by the dotted lines. A spring 25 holds the lever in either position by engaging detents 27. The lever 17 works in a slot 16 in one side of the bearing, and the pivot 22 is so placed that the lever cannot be displaced by upward pressure of the shaft. The whole bearing can be vertically adjusted by slacking the bolt 12 and turning the adjusting-screw 28.
