29,350. Redford, P. Dec. 30. Packing, metallic.-In packing for piston-rods &c. of the type described in Specifications 22,239/00, 8250/04, and 19,252/09, the spherical end rings D, D', Fig. 1, are pressed against the seating rings C, C<1> by springs J, which also press solid conical rings F, F' on to the compound segmental rings E, E'. The parts of the compound rings are held together by springs H, and relative movement of the rings E, E' is prevented by a dowel pin.
