Cleaning internally, rotary appliances for.-A rotary cleaner comprises cutters 4 detachably secured to or integral with spring members 1 connected at their ends to disks 2 mounted on a shaft 3. The disks are capable of sliding, but not rotating, upon the shaft 3, which may be square in section where the disks are mounted. The spring members have a bowed form, and a spring 11<a> may be added between the end disk and a fixed nut 11. The cutters are kept up to the work by centrifugal action. The cutting- edges may be parallel with, or inclined to the axis of the tube, and may be of straight, curved, or serrated form. Cutting-edges 13 may also be provided on the leading disk. In a modification, each spring is in one piece with that at the opposite side of the cleaner, and the springs are connected to one disk only. The central rod passes through registering openings in the springs where they cross at the other end.
