Abstract

29,030. Mitchell, F., and Mitchell, W. G. H. Dec. 23. Processes; yarns. - Yarns are manufactured from artificial silk waste by treating the waste on a Garnett machine, drawing it into a sliver, and spinning it, preferably on a flyer frame. Natural fibre, such as wool, mohair, &c., may be added after treatment on the Garnett machine. The silk waste may be combed before drawing, and the combed top combined with a combed top of natural fibre.
