Purifiers.-In gas-purifiers wherein the purifying-material is supported by a series of independent grids arranged to lean one against another, the grids are arranged in pairs in combination with triangular end pieces so that passages are formed over the whole area of the floor. The grids a are composed of longitudinal bars b united by transverse beams c, the bars being inclined to the surfaces of the grids. In the form shown in Fig. 1, two sets of grids are arranged one above the other, the upper set being supported upon beams g notched to receive them. To give the gas access to all passages simultaneously, the ends of the lower grids are bevelled and the spaces so formed are closed by grids k, Fig. 3, of triangular shape.
