Abstract
27,979. Stell, A., and Stell, J. Dec. 13. Ball bearings.-In spinning, doubling, twisting, and like machines for producing yarns and threads, the flyers 7 and spindles 8 are supported at their upper ends by driving- pulleys 6. The pulley encloses two rows of ball bearings 9 running on races on a sleeve 2 fixed to a rail 3 by a nut 4 and retained by a cap 10 which supports the weight. The pulley forms a receptacle for lubricant. A tube 13 forming a passage for the thread is fixed to the part 8<a> of the spindle and projects through the sleeve 2.
