Joints and connexions.-In a joint or connexion for bedsteads &c., comprising a plate with headed projections to engage keyhole or like slots in a bracket, wedge surfaces are arranged on both sides of the projections and slots to jam the parts tightly together. Fig. 1 shows the plate b, with studs c and wedges d, secured to an upright post a by a screw m fixed in a boss g, while the bracket p, with slots r and wedges s, is shown secured to a side rail n by a bolt t. As shown in Fig. 4, the plate b is secured to the post a bv ornamental nuts h with bosses i screwed on to screws f projecting from bosses g, and is provided with an extension u to carry an end rail. A single slot and projection may be used, and ribs v, Fig. 6, provided on the bracket to engage the sides of the plate to prevent rotational displacement. The wedge surfaces d, s extend partly above and partly below the surfaces of the plate and bracket.
