Abstract
26,505. Ulbrich, W. Nov. 27. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Blowpipe burners ; vaporizing-apparatus.-In a soldering-iron heated by benzene, gasolene, &c., the fuel-container 1 is separated from the gas-chamber 15 by a partition 11, and is put into connexion therewith by passages 13, 14 in a valve casing 12 on the container, the supply of gas being regulated by a screw valve 16. The tube is preheated by a triangular bath 22 containing methylated spirit &c. which is hinged to a frame 24, the top of which is formed as a spring clip 25, Fig. 3, serving as a support for the soldering-iron. The bath may be turned on its pivots between the limbs of the frame 24 when not in use. The nozzle shown is screwed on the container and has a plate 9 provided with a hole for the emission of the gas. The Specification as open to inspection under Section 91 (3) (a) describes a modification in which a long flame may be produced by the use of the nozzle shown in Fig. 5 which contains a tube 29 connected by a rubber tube 30 with a bulb 31 for introducing an air current into the flame. Holes 28 are provided for always maintaining a small flame. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. '
