Mud-guards carried by wheels.-Mud-guards comprise shields c mounted on one or both sides of wheels or tyre, and carrying a fringe portion f detachably attached by lacing g or otherwise. The shields c may be secured to the tyre by means of studs b moulded in the tyre and spring caps d, or the studs may be formed as hooks, or threaded to receive nuts; or the shields may be formed integral with the tyre as at c<1>, or permanently secured thereto by cementing, vulcanizing, riveting, or otherwise, or they may be secured by nipping the inner edges between the tyre beads and rim, or by lacing or wire hooks to the felloe or spokes of the wheel.
