Stationary-vessel washing-apparatus. - In an apparatus for washing coffee &c., of the kind comprising one or more fixed cylinders each containing a revolving drum fitted with beaters, the material is fed through a hopper e to a longitudinally corrugated cylinder a containing a drum k revolving in water and having on its surface obliquely-disposed beaters o, the supporting-standards for the drum shaft being outside the cylinder. The material is passed to a discharge hopper f, from which it may be led to a second similar cylinder connected to the first cylinder a by a channel, which contains a convever p and may be perforated for draining off the dirty water.
