[Addition to 16,795/11.] Spokes, securing.-In wheels of the kind described in the parent Specification, the inner ends of the spokes a, Fig. 1, are in the form of wedges e with radial sides which nest together closely inside the shells c. Rings f, Fig. 2, the outer peripheries. of which abut on the shoulders g formed on the spokes, are riveted on each side of the parts e; the spaces between the rings and the shells are packed with hard wood blocks h. In a modification, Fig. 7, the spokes are flattened transversely to the wheel, the edges of the flattened portions being continuous, or forming a shoulder o, Fig. 9, with the sides of the spokes.
