17,617. Koechlin, A.G. Aug. 2. Stop-motions, weft; stop-motions acting on too frequent weft - replenishment. Relates to mechanism, such as described in Specification 26,575/09, for stopping the loom when the number of times automatic bobbin-changing occurs during the time a shaft makes one or part of a revolution exceeds a certain limit. The weftfork carrier or cradle 4 is provided with a lug 7 carrying a pawl 6, which acts on a spring-controlled toothed pusher-slide 8 when the carrier 4 is moved, so that the pusher-slide is moved step by step at each actuation of the weft - fork mechanism towards the stop-lever 5, the slide 8 being held in position by a locking-hook 10 on a lever 11 after each movement. The pawl 6 and locking-hook 10 are periodically raised by a lever 13 operated by a notch or notches on the periphery of the regulator wheel 12, the pusherslide being thus released so that it may return to normal position. If, however, the weft-fork mechanism is actuated three times (in the construction illustrated), and bobbin-changing is thus caused to occur three times before the pawl 6 and hook are released, the pusher-slide operates the lever 5 and stops the loom.
