Abstract

17,297. Spiridonoff, B. de. July 28, 1910, [Convention date]. Plug lift valves; actuating; outlets.-The valve comprises a coarse-pitched screw-threaded plug e which is coned to seat within a coned seating in the detachable outlet j. A removable leather washer k is interposed. The plug screws directly into the casing and closes wholly or partly the inlet passage b. During the opening movement of the valve, any leakage water above the same is allowed to escape through holes e<3>, the lower of which is closed by the edge of the seating washer in the closed position of the valve. To prevent splashing, the detachable outlet j is fitted with a star-shaped ring p formed of a corrugated sheet-metal strip.
