Incandescent gas burners. - In inverted burners of the kind in which air is heated in an annular chamber k surrounding the mixing-tube a and then passes into this tube beneath the gas-nipple h, the tubes which conduct the air from the chamber k to the mixing-tube, as at d, Fig. 1, or which conduct the products of combustion through an air-chamber that connects the top of the mixing-tube and the chamber k, as at b<1>, Fig. 2, are upwardly inclined. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the mixing-tube is rotatable and is formed at the top f as a hit-andmiss valve to regulate the flow of air from the tubes d ; a set-screw g secures the tube in position. Additional air may be conducted upwards to the top of the mixing-tube by a tube a<1>, Fig. 1, which is concentric therewith and passes through the mantle a<2>. According to the Provisional Specification, the construction of the burner is an improvement upon that described in Specification 26,611/10.
