Ear instruments and hearing - appliances.-A telephone receiver or similar instrument A is supported in close proximity to the ear by means of a loop of wire B shaped to fit the rootof the outer funnel of the ear. The wire is attached to the casing by being passed through sockets a, a in the casing and fastened by nuts c, c, or it may be similarly fastened to a spring band adapted to grip the casing. Separate sockets a<1>, a<1> may be used for the attachment of a loop to fit the left ear, as shown in dotted lines, or the loop itself may be attached by hinges to the end portions so that it can be folded over to fit either ear.
