Wood-block flooring and paving.-The expansion and contraction of wood-block paving &c. is taken up by half-inch sheets of a composition of vulcanized rubber and cork, preferably in the proportions of 2 parts by weight of rubber compound to 1 part of cork, inserted between the blocks, at intervals which should not, exceed 18 inches lengthways and 12 inches crossways.
