Composite blocks.-A concrete paving-block A has its top face covered with a pre-moulded rubber wearing-surface B which projects horizontally beyond the vertical surfaces A<1> of the lower por. tion of the block. The vertical sides B<1> of the rubber covering may be treated with adhesive to form tight joints when a series of blocks are laid together, while the spaces A<2> may be filled with concrete.
