Operating swinging doors.-A plunger A<1> is provided on the door and adapted to co-operate with a surface C<1> on the frame so that the door can be forced open when unfastened, either the end of the plunger or the surface C<1>, or both of them, being inclined. The plunger may be operated independently of, or simultaneously with the door bolt A by means of a follower with inside and outside handles G, H. The bolt A and its staple O have inclined surfaces to close the door tightly into its frame.
