Abstract
9470. Davies, C. W. T. April 18. Belts; neck-ties.-Neck-ties, sashes, &c. have a foundation for a knot at one end of the band 1. The foundation may be a separate piece of material 5; or the end 6 of the band may be folded, as shown in Fig. 2. The other end of the band is passed round the part 2 of the band and then round the foundation 5 or 6, and is secured by being placed under the band 1. This end may have a friction facing to grip the foundation, and a tab 8 may be attached to the band and to a button on the underlying garment to hold the tie &c. in position.
