Abstract
2283. Schloss, M. W. Feb. 1 Friction-grip fastenings.-A fastening forstocking suspenders &c. has a metal loop 4 covered first with rubber and then with a loosely-fitting cover of textile fabric. The button 6 is also of rubber covered with fabric and is attached to the plate 9 by a rivet. The rubber covering for the loop may be omitted, the textile fabric covering only being used. Modified methods of covering are shown in Figs. 4 and 5. In Fig. 4, the loop 4 is cushioned by strips of rubber 20 on either side of it, and in Fig. 5 the braided material has two tubular divisions, in one of which is the rubber core 20 while the other is threaded over the loop 4.
