Ironing-machines and mangles with three or more rollers.-To reduce the tendency to bend of frictionally-driven rollers of small diameter in calendering machines for paper, textile fabrics, &c. and other rolling- machines, three or more rollers are arranged to press laterally against each other. The tendency of the rollers 1, 3, 5 to bend in the direction of the arrows P<1>, P<3>, P<5> is neutralized by the tendency of the rollers 2, 4, 6 to bend in the direction shown by the arrows P<2>, P<4>, P<6>.
