Wood-screws; nails.-A wood-screw or nail for attaching material to furniture &c., of the kind described in Specification 17,182/10, comprising a pin f, which enters and is retained in a socket formed in the screw or nail a, is provided with a grooved cap c, which covers the head and confines the retaining-spring k. In a modification the spring k is dispensed with, and the cap is formed as a spring or provided with spring tongues engaging one or more grooves g in the pin f.
