Non - metallic hollow - ware; bodies; handles.- Earthenware sloppails &c. of the usual tapered shape are formed with a pair of diametrically opposite lugs A, which extend outwards from the top ring and are recessed to receive the inturned ends D of a resilient handle E of copper wire &c. The whole vessel is moulded in one piece, and is of a shape suitable for withdrawal from a one-part mould. The handle is provided with a grip F, and, in a modification, is rigid and is secured by means of a movable bolt at one or at each end. The pails rest one in the other during firing, and cut-outs G are provided so that excess moisture can escape.
