[Published under Section 91 of the Act.] Departure and arrival indicators. - Departure and arrival indicators for railway trains &e. comprise a standard C carrying an indicator B giving the description of the train, and an indicator A showing the t i m e of arrival &c. Each indicator has four similar faces, the indicator B consisting of a card rack formed by the arms b<11> and racks b<14>, which can be lowered, as shown, by means of a screw shaft connexion or by chain and sprocket - wheel mechanism. The webs a', a", a<111>, a<1111>, Figs. 2 and 4, of the time - indicating apparatus are actuated from wheels 1, 2, 3, 4, which are connected by means of other wheels 1', 2<1>, 3', 4' and shafts enclosed in the casing to actuating cranks 1<3>. The similar webs a<1> &c. of each face are interconnected as shown in Fig. 4. The reels for the webs consist of two sections with ribs for engaging the shaft and connected together by screws.
