Abstract
2095. Taylor, C. W., and Colegate, E. Jan. 27. Seals.-The socket portion of a seal of the stud- and-socket type, for envelopes &c., comprises a baseplate C having spiked projections C<1> which are bent over a flange A<1> of an annular cover A, to hold together the cover and an internal spring member B, consisting of an annular cup with spring fingers. The spikes also subsequently serve to attach the seal to the paper &c., which is perforated to receive the projecting portion of the cover A.
