Abstract

403. Friderich, L. Sept. 24, 1910, [Convention date]. [Addition to 319/11.] Nitric acid.-The process of manufacturing nitric acid described in the parent Specification is modified by substituting for the liquid nitric peroxide, nitric peroxide absorbed by a porous material, such as wood charcoal. For example, the porous material in which the nitric peroxide is absorbed, is introduced into an autoclave and an equi-molecular quantity of water added while the stirrer is operated, and oxygen under pressure is introduced.
