Abstract

29,466. Barlach, H. May 18. [Addition to 12,217/10.] Sectional boilers; tubes, water. -The tubes in boilers of the kind described in the parent Specification are of triangular or polygonal cross-section, and are so set together that more than half of their surfaces can be utilized as heating-surfaces. The tubes may be formed with ribs, the height of which is from 2¢ to 3 times the diameter of a tube. The outside tubes c, k, f of the boiler section shown are of triangular cross-section. The tubes may be formed of H or other shape irons welded together at their flanges.
