Abstract

28,262. Tarbet, G. A. Dec. 5. Clips, band.-A flexible pipe or tube is secured to a nozzle by a metal band a, one end b of which passes between the forks c formed on the other end. The ends b, c are formed with lugs e and undercut parts d, which form a channel into which a wedge is forced to cause the band to grip the flexible tube tightly. The lugs e are engaged by a special tool which forces them apart, thereby allowing the wedge to be easily inserted or withdrawn.
