Abstract

27,205. Electric Construction Co., and Pensabene, N. Nov. 23. Brush-holders.-A secondary spring G is interposed between the brush C and the main spring D, and the brush-holder A is insulated from its support B by insulation b so that no current passes through the holder A. The spring G is contained within a tube F, in the lower end of which slides a plug or tube F', which bears upon insulation c on the top of the brush. The spring D is attached to a pin H passing through a hole in the lever E. The tension of the spring D is adjusted by turning the pin H, at each half-revolution ribs h' on the lever E engaging with corresponding notches in the pin H. The brush C is electrically connected to a plate by a flexible conductor c'.
