Hoof-pads. - Relates to shoes of the kind in which recesses are formed in the upper and lower surfaces of each heel to receive a rubber pad, a connecting portion of which passes through the wall separating the recesses. The tread portion 11 and the hoof-fitting portion 13 of the pad are connected through perforations in the wall 8 formed integrally with the metal of the shoe, and the sides of the recesses 7, 10 surround the pad. Integral calks and treads.-The shoe is formed with a tread flange 5 having an upwardly and inwardly inclined face 6 on the inner side. An integral toe calk may be of the form shown in Fig. 1 or Fig. 4.
