Abstract

26,114. Thompson, W. P., [Maschinenfabrik Augsburg - N³rnberg Akt. Ges.]. Nov. 9. Regulating delivery by opening suction valves. - Relates to hydrocarbon pumps for combustion engines &c. of the type in which the delivery is regulated by the suction valve remaining open during a portion o f the pressure stroke. In order to adjust independently the delivery of several pumps of which the valves b are operated by rocking levers g upon a common oscillating shaft i, the part c in which the valve seat is formed is screwed by a thread d into the pump body. The position of the valve seat in the pump body is adjusted by rotating the projecting portion f, and hence the suction valve is caused to remain open for a greater or smaller portion of the pressure stroke.
