Axial-flow type.-An elastic-fluid turbine, in which the velocity-energy of the fluid is abstracted in a number of steps, the velocity of the fluid being augmented between abstractions, is arranged so that the fluid possesses a substantial amount of kinetic energy at high velocity after leaving a rotor wheel and before entering the succeeding pressure - converting nozzle. Specification 11,701/01 is referred to.
