Abstract
19,621. Wiener, E. Aug. 22. Sterilizing milk &c.-Milk &c. is sterilized by being atomized in ozone, the gas being removed by a current of sterilized air. The milk and ozone are mixed by an injector v, Fig. 3, to which either or both are supplied under pressure, and flow into a vessel d, in which the ozone is removed by air either passed into the liquid through a pipe f, or over the liquid as it flows over inclined plates or a series of cones i, k, Fig. 2. Atomizing - apparatus may be arranged below the injector v, and suction apparatus for supplying the ozone may be provided. The air may pass through the vessel d, Fig. 2, in either direction. Specifications 15,151/98 and 6438/08 are referred to.
