Abstract

19,111. Mills, G. Aug. 15. Combinations of interdependent valves; locking. - Relates to valves for sprinkler installations, more particularly of the class described in Specifications 12,368/87 and 1127/90, [both in Class 47, Fire, Extinction &c. of], and 25,541/04. A locking-device for holding the valves a in the open position until manually released consists of a spring- pressed bolt e engaging grooves or notches in the valve stem. The pipe f conveys water to the alarm from between the two seatings. A drain-pipe g is provided, and pipes h, i are also provided for testing the alarm signals and draining-off water from the installation.
