18,146. Griffiths, C. H. July 30. Belt fastenings.-A belt-fastener consists of two parts hinged together, the two parts a being provided with a number of interengaging lugs c drilled for the reception of a transverse pin d. Each part has countersunk openings e for the passage of nuts g and bolts f, the conical heads of which are cupped and spurred. The lugs c are flush with the top of the sections but extend below the underface, the angle between lug and plate being curved. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 14,999/84, 15,623/84, and 21,183/08.
